Some hotels have also been in touch with us to say that the first few months of next year are still quiet, so they are offering competitive rates and added value but as the end of the year gets closer these rates are likely to go up so our advice—get in quick!
What We Like in the countryside…
Selsdon Estate dates back to 861AD and over the course of time has gone through many changes. It is currently being refurbished and they have already opened the brand new 1042 restaurant and bar. The hotel has meeting rooms for up to 200 people, an 18-hole golf course and 200 acres of grounds including a secret garden. Located just 14 miles from London, it is a breath of fresh air within easy reach of the city.
The Langley, a luxury collection hotel in Buckinghamshire is a stunning property not far from Heathrow. There are a selection of bedrooms including Brewhouse rooms with an enclosed mini garden and deluxe suites in the main house. There is also a Spa and Wellness centre, a restaurant and Churchill bar which has a curated collection of spirits and cognacs and a choice of rare cigars. Meeting rooms are available for up to 100 people.
Foxhills is perhaps better known for its 2 championship golf courses but the 70 bedroomed hotel isn’t too shabby either! There are a whole host of dining venues, the New Dining Rooms, Nineteen (popular with golfers) the Summer House (open all year) for indoor and outdoor dining and the sumptuous Manor Lounge. In addition to this, you have the Spa, tennis courts, gym, 9-hole golf and Yoga Cabin.
What We like in the City …
Hope Street Hotel Liverpool is an independently owned hotel in the heart of Liverpool’s Georgian neighbourhood, surrounded by theatres, shops and restaurants. The London Carriage Works is an award-winning restaurant offering modern British, locally sources delights. There are also 5 meeting rooms, the largest of which accommodates up to 70 delegates theatre style.
The Rembrandt, Kensington has just refurbished its restaurant to bring it up to date. The hotel also offers 8 meeting rooms the largest of which can seat up to 200 in theatre style and all but one are located on the ground floor with natural daylight. There are 194 bedrooms and a pool, spa and gym.
The Londoner is due to open in spring next year but already there is a lot of interest in the property. This brand-new build in Leicester Square has 8 floors above ground and 6 below, and facilities including a Restaurant, bar, leisure facilities and 2 Odeon Cinemas as well as 350 perfectly appointed bedrooms.
