Nexusvenue - How it works!

A world leader in Electronics was planning a “Sales Kick off” over a two day period for its 30 Sales Directors from the UK. The client approached nexusvenue for help with organising the event.

What they wanted

The venue needed to be within easy access of the Midlands. Ideally, the requirement was for an hotel with character and history with provision for 30 single occupancy bedrooms, one meeting room set out in theatre style for two days and lunch and coffee/tea breaks included. For the social element they planned to hold a private dinner in the hotel on the first night and for the second night they wanted to attend a themed dinner at another venue in the area.

What nexusvenue did

On the day the brief arrived the operations team at nexusvenue carried out a search and came up with over forty possibilities. After a more detailed investigation nexusvenue was able to provide a shortlist of three hotels together with options for the themed night out. nexusvenue negotiated the best available rates, held the three preferred hotels as first option over a 2 week period and prepared a priced proposal for the client. A member of the nexusvenue team then accompanied the client on a visit to the venues before a final decision was reached.

Once the venue was agreed – in this case Coombe Abbey Hotel – nexusvenue sent written confirmation to the hotel and to the client. The team also arranged a private dinner for the first night and helped the client with menu selections, organised the timetable for the meetings and booked a table at Warwick Castle for the medieval themed banquet.

The outcome

The “Sales Kick off” was a successful event with the client reporting that it had been productive and motivating. Even better the whole event came in under budget.

From the point of view of nexusvenue the most rewarding outcome was that the client expressed total satisfaction with the assistance that nexusvenue had provided and commented that “it was the close attention to detail and care by the team that made the weekend such a success”. And the really good news - after seven years this company is still a client of nexusvenue.
