We have been on our travels again. This time exploring Amsterdam and Marrakesh, their hotels, venues and activity options. Here are some highlights of both trips. If you are planning a meeting, conference or incentive to either of these destinations please do give us a call to talk about options.
Amsterdam
Sylvain has been out and about in Amsterdam. He started his trip in the Hilton Amsterdam which is close to the commercial district and a 20 minute drive from the Airport. The hotel offers 271 bedrooms with views over the canal or the city and 21 meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 700 delegates. This hotel is famous for the John and Yoko room where the legendary “Bed-in for peace” took place in 1969. “I would give this hotel 10 out of 10” says Sylvain “Amazing service, facilities and conference rooms”.
On the West coast is the sea-side town of Noordwijk. The journey from the airport to the town takes you through the bulb growing district of the Netherlands and offers some excellent options for offsite activities.
Sylvain visited the Huis ter Duin and the Palace Radisson Blu, two great options in Noordwijk.
The Huis ter Duin is a privately owned 5 star hotel on the beach with a good selection of meeting rooms from bright and spacious to more intimate and quirky. “Everyone was so attentive and helpful. We have booked this hotel before and always had great feedback.”
NH Group is spending several million pounds on the refurbishment of both the NH Barbizon Palace and NH Grand Amsterdam Kraznapolski hotels in Amsterdam. Sylvain said “Both these hotels have first class facilities and should look amazing after their refurbishments”
Marrakesh
Not to be outdone Louise has also been off exploring in Marrakesh. Louise stayed at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel for her visit. “A truly luxurious hotel, the staff were so helpful and friendly, and the food amazing.”
The trip was largely to find out more about the Four Seasons Group, their philosophy and standards and to meet some of the key staff from around the world. “If you want luxury accommodation anywhere in the world you won’t go far wrong with Four Seasons.”
“They had put a lot of effort into arranging Camel rides and dinner in the desert for us but unfortunately it rained whilst we were there and they had to change the itinerary very quickly. The weekend continued seamlessly which is quite impressive as we were a large group.”
