November Newsletter

Well, here we go again.  It seems to be two steps forward and three steps back as far as coronavirus is concerned but we have to keep positive and here at nexusvenue that is just what we are doing.  Generally, we feel there is an enthusiasm out there to get life moving towards normality as much as possible.  Here at nexusvenue the wheels keep turning and we have adapted to the new requirements of our clients to provide alternatives to the normal bookings.  In this newsletter we highlight some bookings that we have made this month that might be of interest to you.

Accommodation  -  Hotels or Apartments…

We all love a good, full-service hotel and there are many now open to take bookings with extra procedures in place to ensure the safety of staff and guests.  If you want to know more about these procedures, please do get in touch and we can talk you through what to expect.

As requirements change for businesses and their staff around the world, we have also had enquiries for apartments so that staff who are needed in the office daily but live out of town can have somewhere comfortable to relax with “home from home” facilities suitable for longer stays such as fully equipped kitchens, wi-fi and laundry facilities.  We can source these fully serviced apartments for you around the country, for any length of stay.

Meetings are currently smaller…

We are making bookings for meetings, mostly in the UK although, clearly, they are for smaller numbers.  Our clients are anxious for staff to have the opportunity to meet, to exchange ideas and just to see each other in person again rather than on a screen.  The good news is that hotels are now set up for these meetings, offering much more spacious meeting rooms, well-spaced seating and dedicated staff to ensure that everything you need is to hand. In fact this is a good opportunity to pay tribute to hotels and venues for the way they have worked incredibly hard to make sure that accommodation and meetings spaces are as covid safe as possible.

Virtually there?…

With this year’s events put on hold we look forward to 2021 and particularly the summer months.  We hope that, by the summer, restrictions will have lifted, and it will be a fabulous opportunity to get together for conferences, residential meetings, and summer parties.

Outdoor spaces, BBQ’s, DJ, live entertainment, fun team building—perfect for enjoying the sunshine.  I am sure the venues are going to get a lot of enquiries once things start to improve so don’t leave it too late.  Let us know if this is of interest to you and we can talk through options and put together some proposals for you as well as getting spaces on hold.

Next year?…

In the last newsletter we mentioned virtual events and we are pleased to say that we have had several enquiries relating to virtual dinners and Christmas entertainment which is very encouraging. Virtual meetings have always been around and with travel restrictions they have been an essential over the last few months.  When it comes to virtual events, we have some fantastic contacts who can put together all sorts of entertainment—great for after an online meeting or as a stand-alone party.

So, if you want to entertain staff or clients with an on-line hypnotist, mind reader, magician, pub quiz, escape room, murder mystery, “master of tasks”, cocktail making or even wine tasting—we have contacts who can organise it all for you.  We can even organise a full-on virtual Christmas party, complete with DJ, quiz, and entertainment boxes to be sent out to your guests prior to the event with party hats, props, crackers, drinks and snacks.  So many options—just let us know what takes your fancy and leave it to us.
