Clocks have gone back and the nights are drawing in but it is a great time to think about your plans for next year – quarterly meetings, the AGM, staff incentives?  And if you book a lot of accommodation it would be worth having a chat with us to see if we can negotiate some rates at your favourite hotels.

New openings

There is to be a change of identity for the Thistle Marble Arch which is soon to become the Amba Hotel Marble Arch and along with the name change there has been a massive refurbishment which sees new Hypnos beds, Nespresso machines and a free mini-bar with snacks and soft drinks in all the hotel bedrooms.  The hotel offers room service without the tray charge and complimentary Wifi. 

We had an excellent visit from a representative for the Novotel Madrid which is due to open later in the month. The hotel is enormous with 790 bedrooms and 21 meeting rooms holding a maximum of 900 delegates.

There is also a new Restaurant, grand café, bar and terrace in London called the German Gymnasium.  They can offer semi private dining space for 32 or the mezzanine floor which can cater for 250 people.

Great Presentations

Carden Park in Cheshire is new to us, but we had a great presentation that really showed off the 1000 Acres, 18 meeting rooms (with a maximum capacity for 350 delegates) and they have full onsite team-building activities including Kong aerial ropes, quad bikes, segways, archery and jeep off-road driving.  They have 196 bedrooms and offer a fabulous spa and 2 golf courses.

Client Feedback

It’s always great to have really good feedback from events in venues that we have put forward and we have had some lovely feedback this month.

A client who booked an event at Heathrow Windsor Marriott said that the meeting ran smoothly due to the care and attention to detail given at the hotel, the staff were proactive and personable with excellent levels of service overall.  Meals were extremely good and breakout snacks amazing!

Hotel d’Angleterre in Copenhagen proved a popular choice too “The event wouldn’t have been so successful without the help of the team, everyone was so helpful.”

And excellent feedback for Elvetham.  “Everyone who attended couldn’t praise the hotel and staff enough.  The hotel was lovely & catering really good.”
